The proposition

“I have a proposition for you…”

He looks at me curiously, tilts his head… “Oookkk?”

I smile, “I’m thinking that I’d like to do some rope bondage with you.”

He looks away from me, bondage is one of his kinks, he is a complete newbie, has no experience. He is suddenly shy, awkward, he smiles nervously, starts to say something.

I interrupt him, “Don’t answer now, I want you to have a think about it.”

He nods.

I try to draw a picture of how I see it going, “I am thinking of something very gentle, not sexual, no nudity…” I look him up and down, “… boxers…”

He nods again, smiles uncertainly, looks at me, then away again.

“I know that you really want to experience this within a relationship, romantic and all that, and I will not be at all offended if you don’t want to…” I let the thought trail off and look at him, I touch his arm, smile reassuringly, go on.

“I have no experience with it…” I smirk at him, the guinea pig, “… so haven’t a clue what I am doing, it will be slow and awkward, I will be reading instructions from a book, probably talking to myself, it will possibly be very boring…” I shrug a bit, not sure, really, how it will go, “… or it might be a bit of a peaceful zen-like experience… but I get to practice some rope bondage, you get to be practiced on…”

He tells a little story then, of a submissive he saw, or heard about, who was bound, minor bondage… and from it, she came… He is confessing that he is not sure how he will react, at the very least, maybe, he will get turned on, he is worried that it is not allowed.

I smile at him warmly, he is terribly sweet, “That’s fine, of course! To be expected, it will be sensual, there will be touching, so naturally…”

He smiles at me, on edge, restless… we talk a little then, about my (in)experience with rope, about some bondage books he has, about less intimate things, I know the idea thrills and frightens him. I am not sure which will win out.

“I’ll definitely be in touch… about it..” he says as we part.

I smile, nod, lean into a gentle hug, reach up to give him a soft kiss on the cheek, I make my way home.

  1. Putting myself in that boy’s place, I would be extremely flattered to have been asked to be a bondage “guinea pig”. It takes a certain level of trust in someone to admit that “… (I) haven't a clue what I am doing, it will be slow and awkward, I will be reading instructions from a book”.

As one who is inexperienced, I could not find it boring but rather an opportunity to gain a new perspective while building a relationship.

To explore something new and learn about a common interest is a wonderful experience. It’s these kind of “first time” moments that help bind people together and live on as a fond memory.

Well, I hope he was. From my side, it *is* a huge compliment to him, I really never do casual play, but he is a lovely boy and this seems an activity with relatively low emotional risk.

*laugh* Actually, I have no problem at all admitting that I am severely lacking in the mad skillz department and really don't care. I think it takes more trust on his part to say 'yes' once I have admitted to it *smirk*

  3. Coug: “Pffft a real Domme wouldn't need a book she'd be born with that knowledge”

True, I hang my head in shame… Though last time I did it, I used a youtube video, that's better, right right?!!

  4. If a lady every propositioned me like that I would go insane. I would be a little scared and a lot turned on at the same time. My biggest fear would be teaching her too much and actually being tied up quite well.

    1. *smile* Well going insane would put a damper on things.

And I suspect you mean some word other than ‘fear’ there…

      1. Darn. You caught me! What I actually meant to say was hope, not fear. I didn’t want to come off as too eager. :)
