Happy Femdom Stories: The book

I’m still working on the next book of my ‘How To’ Femdom Series (it’s ‘How to Find A Dominant Woman’ and it should be out soon) but in the meantime I am lining up my next project.

Long time followers of this blog will know that I started asking F/m folks for their happy femdom stories way back in 2011 because we don’t see enough (any?!) stories of real-life happy working F/m relationships and those stories are not only uplifting and wonderful, but that kind of representation is important.

Since then I’ve shared over 40 amazing and wonderful stories from generous contributors *happies!!*.

So what could be better than reading about lovely and loving D/s relationships?

HAVING A BOOK FULL OF THEM!

Right?! Of course!

I’m compiling all of the ‘Happy Femdom Stories’ that people so kindly shared into a book. I’m not looking to make any money: I will give the book away for free. This is just distributing the stories via a different medium, and hopefully to a wider audience.

I know that it sounds grandiose to say that these stories are important, but I’m serious about that.

With everything that is out there on the internet, it’s too easy to believe that happy healthy F/m relationships don’t happen, aren’t even possible, are in the fantasy realm of fairies and unicorns. Representative stories like these are positive and uplifting and hopeful and illuminating, and they are hard to find out there in the world.

Obviously since I originally shared those stories, people’s situations and relationships may have changed both in good and not-so-good ways. Life is like that, but these stories are genuine experiences that happened, they are fine examples of what’s possible and real, and they are so worth sharing.

So stay tuned, and below a call to action!

To those who so generously shared their stories:

I have contacted everyone whose email address I still have, but some have been lost over time, so if you didn’t get an email from me please let me know if you don’t want me to put your story into the book: ferns -at- domme-chronicles -dot- com.

To those who have happy femdom stories they haven’t shared yet:

I am always ALWAYS looking for more happy femdom stories, so now’s a great time to send me yours. My original call out for stories will give you more detail about the sort of thing I’m after.

  1. Of course it’s important! The representation of femdom in the “outside world” is depressing, boring and pretty much the unsexiest thing I can imagine. No wonder F/m leaning people hardly pop up in the scene.

Thank you so much for doing this! Thank you for using the visibility you built up over all this years to help bring beautiful things into the spotlight. I’m so proud of you! :D

And warm thank you to all who contributed their stories! They are truly uplifting.

    1. Yes! It’s a lot better than it was when I first started out (lots of blogs and bigger F/m forums and more resources), but I think this in particular (real stories of F/m relationships) is a big gap.

And you’re most welcome: it’s my absolute pleasure and privilege to be able to do it.

  2. Honestly, I would buy that, though I can clearly see why it would not work for retail (not your stories). I am awaiting your next book, but this is also one I would be quite keen to pick-up. Like your Domme Chronicles, there is a definite need for more real stories out there.

  3. It is very important. Aside from the outside world, even within the FLR world there can be a significant amount of suspicion regarding even the word ‘FemDom’, claiming there’s very little in it for the woman and that D/s play is actually damaging to relationships. I think it is a very good thing that you are proudly using the word ‘FemDom’, it is a neat, all encompassing word and any scene or movement tends to weaken I think, when the community get bogged down in endless renamings and semantic arguments.

I think some FLR groups would like to ‘sanitize’ FLR until it’s basically a vanilla relationship with a particular emphasis on the male’s respect for the female. But the fulfillment that can be achieved for both partners, through the exploration of the more dramatic, mysterious regions of the mind, the heightened states reached through evoking a feeling of danger with the one you trust, must be there for those who desire it without stigmatisation from, often, a community that you would imagine would be sensitive to such needs.

So yes, this book is a noble venture and it is a great thing that you do!

  4. I have looked at a few (generic) web sites for Female Led Relationships (FLR). For one web site-“She Makes The Rules”-it was specifically stated to be non-kinky.

An implication is that some women are willing to take on a leading role, but aren’t interested in D/s play.

I would be careful not to over generalize. Can vanilla-FLR advocates really speak for all women?

Or are there actually two distinctly different groups of women, who at first glance may seem much the same?

  5. The seeming improbability (if not impossibility) of a workable F/m relationship makes the Happy Femdom stories particularly poignant.
