  1. :D That’s a real nice cover too, Ferns! The bits and pieces of the book I read on Amazon, I greatly enjoyed. Even gave me some neat ideas to try with my pet, >:3 hehehe.

    1. YES! I love my kindle (though I resisted for a long time), but it’s just not the same thing.

It’s not just the smell, but the feel of a book, touching the pages, the weight of it, the way it gets worn and loved.

It’s just a completely different thing from e-books.

      1. Agreed, totally. I’ve got books that I’ve read that many times (I’m a sci-fi fan) that they are falling apart, and I’m totally needing to buy new copies to replace old copies.

Well worn, enjoyed, and loved indeed.

      2. Also if you hit somebody over the head with a Kindle it will break unlike a book!
That aside I just wanted to give you a cyber hug today Ferns

P.S. Don’t enter me in the draw I already have the book

  2. Okay, my comment is not for the contest, but for the purpose of I wish to comment. It took some deep concentration to come up with this intelligent comment, but I finally came up with what I wanted to say.

    YAY!!!

    Highly intelligent, I know.

    Respectfully,

  3. Oh my goodness it is gorgeous! I can vicariously enjoy your excitement at the prospect of seeing all your own words in a real, live, actual book!

    1. I’m glad you like it! And yes, so exciting.

I pored over everything from the cover to the internal layout to the fonts to the frigging SPACING OF PARAGRAPHS *laugh*.

      Labour of love.

  4. Holy moly oh my goodness it is gorgeous! I am vicariously enjoying your excitement at seeing all your own words in a real, actual, touchable, smellable, book! It’s inspiring. :)

  5. I heard all about this book on the Masocast, and I can’t wait to read it! The cover looks awesome! Congratulations!

    1. *smile* I pimped it pretty good on Masocast (thanks Axe!!).

I hope you enjoy it (even though you didn’t win a copy… boo).

  6. It looks wonderful. I have followed your site for quite a while and I was amazed to find out your were an author as well as a dominant woman. Whether I get the book or not it looks like a masterpiece. Thanks, Miss P

  7. When you said there was a chance of it coming out in physical book form, I knew I needed to wait to buy it. And I really like the cover you’ve come up with for it.

    1. Yay! I know you got it already. Isn’t it pretty?! And strangely silky-feeling. I kept wanting to pet it when I got mine…

  8. Oh wow! Love the cover! Gotta have the hard copy to share with my boy, the object of my own thoughts/actions that are so aligned with yours! I’m recommending this book to EVERYONE!!

  9. I don’t know how I missed notice of your having a book out, but now that I know it exists, it’s definitely on my to-get list. I hope you had as much fun writing it as people are probably having reading it!

    1. I don’t know how you missed it either. I haven’t shut up about it for months!

Also… *points to the pimpage in the sidebar*

Methinks you just aren’t paying me enough attention!

      Ferns

    1. It would!

Also a good conversation starter, though I guess by the time they saw it on your nightstand, that conversation would be old news… :P

  10. Paper books are just somehow more satisfying than electronic ones. I love the idea of hitting someone with your book, how appropriate ;)

    1. I agree about the paper books. There is a tactile experience about them that you lose with your kindle.

*grin* I also really like the idea of hitting someone with it. It’s on my to-do list.

    1. *laugh* I actually don’t think that holding a bulky book and flipping a paper page is any easier to be honest.

Also, I hear that the pages can stick together.

You should test this. For science!

  11. I really like this version of the cover. I have the e-book, but would love to have the hard copy as well:) It would be nice to be able to lend it.

  12. It’s been said already, but I’ll say it again, THIS COVER ROCKS! This is the best one yet! Congrats, Ferns!

    1. Thank you: I love the look of that collar also.

If I have another long term boy, I’m so getting an infinity collar for him. So gorgeous!

      Ferns

  13. I really like that cover, the collar looks very like the one my subbyhubby wears…although he is much hairier with lovely tattoos :)

  14. Your book looks stunning – in both the literary and physical sense! And the cover is lovely indeed :) (We already know the contents are bound to be amazing!)

    xx Dee

  15. To echo everyone else, it looks like a beautiful book and I’m hoping I win a copy!

(I’m a straight female sub and I’m still reacting this way? Wow. You’re impressive!)

  16. You’re an inspiration and an educator. I love your honesty and insight. Your blogs are hot! Will buy the book if I don’t get chosen. Congrats!

  17. Congratulations on the hard copy! The cover looks great. I’ve already got the ebook and I’ve loved it. I’d love a hard copy though, for someone who I know will appreciate it and doesn’t like ebooks. I really enjoy your writing style and the short vignettes.

  18. Oh crapola!!!! I’ll bet I’m too late. Pick me! Pick me! Killer cover and I can’t believe you had the stamina to write almost a 500 page book!

    1. You were not too late at all!

I’m glad you like the cover, and I can’t quite believe it either! It’s like proper for-real book size!

      Ferns

  19. Thank you for all the kind words everyone! Your support is wonderful, truly!

I’m really happy with the final cover, and really excited to have a hefty physical book in my hands. E-books just aren’t the same thing, even though I have come to love my Kindle.

I can’t wait to give one away. Fun!

    1. Well, do ya, punk?! *laugh*

I would LOVE to do signed copies in general, but I’m afraid it’s really difficult. The book gets printed in the US, so to sign it, I would have to have it shipped to me, then I would have to ship it to whoever.

That means it would be really costly (around $50… eek!) AND it means that I would need a real name and address for shipping.

Both of those are show-stoppery :(.

  20. You really think a bit of swag will tempt the shy people out of lurking? It won’t wor…

    Oh. Hmm.

  21. I keep finding new favourite parts in your book- but I can’t leave the Kindle version lying around…
I want to show you off! X

  22. Pick me! Pick me! Pick me! You know I love the cover. But I’ve read all the stories. When is the sequel coming? These things always come in threes you know. :)
