Beautiful gift shoes

I realised in writing this that I have never had a pair of shoes gifted to me. Not ever. Does that seem strange?

So these are the first. They are from a dear man who I have never met, am hugely unlikely to meet, but with whom I have developed a lovely email friendship through this blog.

In truth, I was concerned about accepting his offer, worried that I would feel uncomfortable receiving such a gift (perhaps a post for another time), but his genuine pleasure in it made it much fun.

Exciting package in the mail + beautiful shoes + delighted ‘whhheeeeee!!’ on both sides = happies.

Black suede stilettos with corset-style lacing at the back over faux crocodile-look leather, which is continued on the heel *joyful sigh*.

Thank you!

Look at the awesomeness of these heels! Look look!!:

And this one shows the lacing and crocodile skin texture at the back and on the heels… fabulous!:

*more happy sighing*

  2. I love gifted shoes, if I know they are from someone enjoying the gifting as much as I enjoy the getting and wearing! I love the corseted heel! Definitely my favorite part, now I'll have to find some! Will this totally throw off your shoe organization?? Hopefully you allowed space!

    Agreed, on all counts!!

“i'm surprised this is the first pair You've been gifted!”

*chuckle* I'm actually surprised also… I have been shopping with boys for shoes before (it is lovely to have him kneel and help me on and off with shoes, to send him off to go scouting for lovelies and bring them to me etc), but as far as I recall, I always bought them for myself.

    Yeah, what he said!! *laugh*

I think “enjoying the gifting” is key for me too.

Yes!! My shoe tower is infinitely extensible… BUT uber heels do not fit in the normal size boxes, and these took the last of my large shoe boxes. Future disaster looms!

Thank you, aren't they though?! *happy sighing*

(I always feel like saying 'thank you' is kind of weird, because it's not like I made them!)

  6. Is there something deliberately hypnotic about the lacing at the back? Just the way it draws the eye, and then the serious, serious heel and the oh-god-I-must-stop-staring-stop-staring-why -the-hell-can't-I-stop-staring-?-?-?-?

  7. dishevelleddomina: “Does the shoe tower issue mean that more organizationally-minded fans wouls bw permitted to purchase you shoe boxes?”

Well, I could certainly be convinced *after* the point at which the 10 spare boxes I currently have are used (spare boxes!!! A travesty!!). Not before, though, that would just be silly!

  8. Maggie: “Hahaha If I had any hope that Ferns might wear my size…”

*laugh* I'm a size 10… these are not for the faint hearted or the delicate petite!! They are for the Amazon and virago!
